Expert Witness

At Collision Service Repair Group, we have been appointed by local government as an auditor for auto body and structural smash repairs. We provide a detailed vehicle damage and structural repair report to VicRoads, outlining whether the vehicle can attain a roadworthy certificate. Our reports contain information on whether or not the vehicle being inspected meets the Australian Design Rules, there are over 80 rules that apply to the design and construction of the vehicle.

Our technicians are qualified to determine whether or not the vehicle meets ADR's and has been repaired to pre-crash condition. These inspections ensure that customer vehicles are safe for road use and that all repairs are performed correctly and meet industry standards and manufacturer's guidelines. If the repairs are not deemed acceptable then the vehicle may be considered a write off.

Our workshop has professional electronic measuring systems to determine whether chassis components have been correctly repaired. Any components that have been made from high strength low alloy steel can be weakened from excessive deformation. If these components are have been excessively deformed, they must be replaced to maintain structural integrity of the vehicle.

There are strict manufacturer's guidelines around the repair procedures of all vehicle chassis and body components to ensure that the vehicle is structurally safe. All of these vehicle and chassis components are all thoroughly inspected by our technicians before an approval certificate is presented.
